Notes from the 16 December 2020 Sully District Council Meeting

- CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Jeff Parnes SDCCA 1st Vice President, at 7:00 PM.
- MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Sully District Council is Social!
- The Membership meeting was held on 16 December 2020
- Topic: Tom Biesiadny, Director, Fairfax County Department of Transportation provided a virtual transportation update, specifically:
- We asked him in advance to address age following items
- How the ongoing pandemic is impacting current and future planning.
- Plans for major through routes within and near Sully, including Braddock Road, New Braddock Road, Rt 28, and Fairfax County Parkway.
- How the county would accommodate any new traffic flows emanating from a possible new access to Rt 28 and Dulles Airport from Loudoun County that would tie into the existing Air and Space Museum Parkway
- A record of the questions asked during the meeting has been exacted from the meeting chat log
- Director Biesiadny's presentation is available for review in pdf and pptx formats
- A video of the meeting is available for viewing
- The Joint Sully Land Use and Transportation Committee (JSDLU&TC) will meet on Monday, 21 December 2020.
- Fairfax Water will brief us on their future plans to provide water to our ever-expanding county:
- Representing Fairfax Water:
- Chairman of the Board Philip W. Allin will be traveling at that time, but he does want to join in if possible
- General Manager Steven T. Edgemon
- Manger of Planning Greg Prelewicz
- As circumstances permit, next month's meetings will start at 7 PM virtually

- The next Sully District Council meeting will be held on Wednesday, 27 January 2021.
- Topic: — We've invited the Sully District Representative to the Fairfax Country School Board, Stella Pekarsky to provide a virtual education update
- Next month's Joint Sully Land Use and Transportation Committee is scheduled for Monday, 18 January 2021.
- 7:00 — Michaels Development special exception application for the Autumn Willow project.
- 7:45 — AT&T Application for Telecommunications Facility at 6400 Old Centreville Road
- ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at approximately 8:59 p.m.
